Pandora rides - do You need to have seen th3 film ?
We were sitting discussing FOP and ROL etc and wondering how much you will get out of the m if you haven't seen the film.
I know this is subjective but I think I watched about 15 minutes of the film before I got used but want to do the rides. What are your thoughts on this ? Thanks everyone

I’d watched it all, DH about half an hour and DDs none, we all really enjoyed both rides. I don’t think it’s essential at all, I probably got a little more depth from it but that maybe added a couple of percent to the experience.

For FoP I would say no, it’s an amazing experience even without seeing the film. The river journey ride is a nice ride but again you probably don’t need to have seen the film.

Joan and I are possibly the only two people in the known universe never to have seen any of the Star Wars franchise films but we still went on Star Tours regularly. Mick

I’ve never seen the film and thought FoP was amazing. They fill you in with what you need to know when you’re queuing. I didn’t really get the river ride, not sure if that would make more sense if I saw the film but it’s just a little boat ride so fine. TBH I’d probably give this one a miss next time, unless the wait time was less than ten mins.

DH has watched the film, DD and I hadn't but we all enjoyed the rides and land equally. If anything, DD probably liked the theming the most!

I know I'll be in a minority here with my views on this but I think you'll be at an advantage not having seen the film as you won't have anything to compare it to.
I love the film and have seen it many times so I was excited to visit this area, in fact, Pandora was the only reason for me staying in Disney this year. What a colossal disappointment it was. The next time I watch it, I'll be thinking, oh look, Orlando ... |

We watched the film specifically because we weee going. I enjoyed the film more than I expected.
I think it lends some context to the area with the plants and floating mountains and the animal you are riding on in FOP but it’s a cool ride anyway. I liked the boat ride but it’s an It’s a Small world level ride. If you ride knowing that’s what you are getting it’s very Pretty. If you are expecting more you will be disappointed. |

We haven’t seen the film and thought FOP was amazing. Na’vi was
OK, and we don’t feel disadvantaged in any way from not having seen the film.
