Mobile NYC Hotel choices dilemma

Hi

Which hotels would you recommend for two women, one a first timer to NYC please?

Riu Plaza
Lotte New York Palace
Grand Hyatt New York

Or any other options please?

Thanks

Is your query about the hotels specifically or the location? There are so many hotel it can be really hard to choose. Best plan is to work out where you want to stay rather than choosing by hotel iyswim?

Riu plaza is over near times Square hell's kitchen area.

Grand Hyatt is near grand Central and Lotte is opposite st Patrick's I think isnt it?

Mmm. Personally I wouldn't want to stay immediately in times Square area. But lots do. Too busy for me.

Lotte is quieter on Madison but not too far away from most things.

Grand Hyatt is near grand Central station.

So for me based on the locations of those I would choose grand Hyatt as I would want ease of getting around and lots of eateries.

I haven't stayed in a y of the hotel's however.

But my advice would be think about where you want to stay first and choose a hotel in that area.

Look on the sticky for where others have stayed and look at their trippies or pm them to see what they think.

Not to worried on location, I’ve been before and know it’s easy to get around anyway. They’re all about 10-15 mins within each other anyway. It’s more what hotel is nicer really.

Thanks for replying.

I can recommend the Grand Hyatt. Lovely hotel, good location and fantastic breakfast place just across the street 😊

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in January and loved it. Nice, decent sized rooms and great location. The only thing that caught me out was the resort fee but that was because of a miscommunication on both my and their end!

We went to NYC for a week last year and stayed at The French Quarters, absolutely outstanding accommodation, fabulous breakfast and staff went above and beyond to help you in any way they possibly could. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Close to everything but in a quiet (well quiet for NYC) street and walking distance to mostly everything we wanted to visit :-)

Hope you have a fantastic time.

Dunx ;-)

We saw the Lotte hotel when we stayed at the Omni Berkshire, round the corner from us, it looked lovely, is it the most expensive out of the 3🤔it’s location is good, not far from 5th Avenue & Rockefeller

I love the Palace, I used to stay there regularly when I made frequent work trips to NYC. I would definitely recommend it, I really want to back one day but we blew the budget and booked the Plaza (not the one mentioned) as it is my 50th when we go in April.

Anything close to 5th Avenue or Grand Central we find to be suitable. We avoid Times Square area.
