Virgin site says no flights on days I want in Sept

I've been waiting for flight prices to come down and possible the New Year sale with Virgin. We want a flight to San Francisco on 27th Aug and to return from Los Angeles on Saturday 11th Sept...but the Virgin site says "no return flights" on 10th and 11th Sept.

Could these already be sold out, I'm a bit concerned now. Flights are coming in at �525 per adult for outward bound on 27th Aug and return on 12th Sept. I wouldn't mind the extra day but DH has to be back for work and DS for college on the Monday.

Not sure if there is something wrong with the site.

On Monday it was saying no flights to or from LV for my dates in May and June, but yesterday there were loads available at reasonable prices. Also if I searched for PE seats yesterday they were coming back with the sort of prices I expected, but if I searched on economy and went for upgrade on a later page it was �1K+ each way just for the upgrade.

I've checked availability for flights with BA but they are more expensive.

I don't know the answer, but am a bit curious as to how you're searching for LA to Manchester flights, as VA only fly from LA to Heathrow.

It automatically finds a connecting flight for you, which is included in the quote. These dates were on a few weeks ago, I just rang up and they don't know why it says no flights on those dates either.

They gave me a quote over the phone but it was �579 each, still a bit too much. I want to book when the flights go below �500 each ideally so I'll hang on a bit longer.

Ah right, I didn't realise you could do that!

There should be a sale in a few weeks, hopefully you will find something then.
