In need of a drink
I've heard some scary stories about the price of drink in vegas if you are not playing the casino games. Any suggestions on where to get a decently priced drink.

where are you staying?
We stayed in paris and loved getting a huge frozen margarita each ($7.50 each)to walk round with to start every evening off - got them from the bar on the outside of Flamingo (next door to Paris - also sold them at our hotel but double the price! ) If you look you'll find lots of cheap drinks from stalls/ outside bars etc, not sure abt indoors tbh, we tended to just pick up our drinks when we were gambling apart from our nightly margarita!

I have to disagree and say that we have found the drink prices to be okay ~ certainly no more than the UK. You can get cheap margs in bills, cheap Beer from casino royale and the outside bar by Harrahs but we can never be bothered to walk to those places so just drink where ever we are. We also get some beer and wine for the room and then drink when we are playing slots, normally tip $5 for the first drink then $2 after that and that way we get good service.
We are also a big fan of frozen margs and normally get these from either margaritaville or la salsa cantina. |

I must admit our bar bill was nearly as high as our food bill when we were there I just budgeted for it having been there last year too, I just love the frozen drinks by the pool but they do come at a price.

Dont think the prices are too bad except for the nightclub in mgm, studio 54, we ordered 4 vodka and cokes and paid $78 for them, almost fell through the floor.

There's a really lovely place in Planet Hollywood (Ocean Bar & Grille) that is quiet, the bar staff really know their drinks, the service is superb and is not expensive (and has regular, long 2 for 1 happy hours). I can thoroughly recommend it to you.
