Anyone else booked Virgin flights but had no confirmation?

So we booked our flights on Friday directly with Virgin Atlantic but have not had any email confirmation. The transaction is showing on my credit card and I can see the flight on the Virgin app but no email confirmation despite requesting it to be resent. My sister booked her flight on Friday also under a separate booking and she's had no email confirmation either. Is this normal?

I booked this week and was told the ticketing department are running very behind. It's not normal, but is due to the amount of bookings they're amending at the moment. Did you get a booking reference number? You can usually see your booking online instantly even if tickets are not issued.

Yeah got the reference and can see the booking on the app so not worried the booking hasn't gone through it's just it said that confirmation would be emailed and as it hasn't come through I just wondered if it was normal. Makes sense they will be busy with people chopping and changing plans with dates constantly being pushed back.
