Premier inn night before

Was looking on the premier inn site to check for prices for a 1 night stay on sat 11 Sept 21 and prices start from £116.50

Checked week before and week after after and the prices are starting at £32.50

Is something on in Manchester that weekend or am I missing something

Heald green.

Think we will just get a cab on the day of travel.
live an hour away from Manchester Airport and don't fly until 12:30 and we only take hand luggage

Yeah it must be a busy weekend as all the City Centre ones are sold out.

The Runger Lane ones are £79, but probably less popular due to no direct access via train.

Just a idea why not travelogue for one night Piccadilly only 29.00 and you very near train station around 5 to 10 minute walk and just catch train to airport.

We are like you , just an hour from the airport so whilst we prefer to stay the night before sometimes a car to the airport is cheaper (Gatwick in our case) than hotel and parking. For some reason a local airport transfer company that uses uniformed drivers and Mercedes vehicles is always £5 cheaper than the local mini cab companies here in Kent.
Weirdly our next trip PI was £50 plus breakfast against Hilton for £80 including breakfast so if you’d be paying for breakfast on top anyway maybe see if it’s a close deal at a hotel that includes brekkie ?
