2 year old- what essential items to pack?!

Super excited to have booked a trip for next October! Our little boy will have just turned two and I’m looking for recommendations of what essential items I’ll need to take. This mainly means that I can start shopping now and get excited by putting them away in a holiday drawer! Huge thanks in advance!

Highly advise reading Brett & Jo’s latest trippie (Happyhaunt1000 is Brett’s user name).

It was Marceline’s 2nd birthday trip so you could pick up some hints and tips there.

When we flew yesterday, a couple next to us had a little one...they had a large pillow, and they led it across their laps so he could sleep...and he did a big part of the flight. 🙂

Agreed with calpol.

Little things to keep them amused. I've been picking up small Disney stickers, colouring books, toys as and when I see them. Useful for the flight or to have in the hotel.

I also have a Disney beach towel. Planning to use it as a blanket if it's cooler at night and I'll also through it on our stroller seat when we park up to go on rides. Our stroller is black so the seat and buckles could get very hot in the Florida sun, hopefully covering them will mean they won't be too bad when we return to our buggy.

A usb rechargeable fan for the stroller was a must have for us.

As mentioned. Calpol is a must, Walmart sells the British version (I believe) but you won’t easily find a pain relief for them if you don’t take your own. Take some in the sachets as well so you can take it to the park.

When mine were toddlers we took their own water bottles as well, they like a drink with them on a night and liked the comfort of their usual non-spill ones.

Favourite teddy for bed, stick it in a drawer during the day so there’s zero risk of housekeeping wrapping it in with the sheets when changing the beds!

Swim nappies, from memory their very expensive in Orlando. I might be wrong but I’m sure we took enough with us as we’d been told they cost a bomb.

Definitely this. I remember being at Gatwick and the realisation that we'd left "bunny" at home dawned on me and I spent the next 12 hours dreading getting him to bed for the whole week we were there!
