Rumour- Little Mermaid Show Voyage of the Little Mermaid shut down for good.

Good source of the news, he broke the X Wing drone news for RotR opening.

Apparently it’s already been ‘archived’ with high resolution photos and will not reopen.

Edit sorry when first posted thought the ride was called Voyage of the Little Mermaid- it’s the show in HWS. My Little Mermaid knowledge needs brushing up

I don’t believe that. Why would they close it. It’s always busy.

It only opened a few years ago didn’t it? I don’t think it’s even 10 years old?

I rode it in DCA eight years ago and it hadn’t got to WDW so yes, you’re right, it’s less than that.

Could it be that they can’t figure out how to socially distance on it (though it seems an ideal ride to keep families separate on)?

Isn’t the layout of the ride carriages quite similar to the nemo ride at EPCOT? (Please correct name me if I’m wrong it’s been a while since I’ve been!) if it is I can’t see it being a social distancing issue as I can think of a few rides that would (in my opinion) prove more difficult?

There’s so much speculation about everything at the moment but I hope this isn’t true and isn’t a sign of things to come 😥

Yes it is. I can’t immediately think of a reason why they’d close it, hence speculating it was linked to social distancing (but again would have thought the set up made it ideal for that!).
