Mobile Puncture!

My car has a puncture - no idea how as I’ve only driven it once in 2 weeks. Anyway I called the garage and they say the tyres are a new sort that can’t be repaired as they are “foamed filled”. Is this a thing or are they having me on?

Common in industry for things like fork lifts. Not common on cars.

What car and tyre is it? Is it an original tyre from the factory?

Next door neighbour had this with her mini. It is intended, I think, just to help you 'limp' to the garage. Do you have breakdown cover they may tow you to the garage?

I thought if the tyre was foam filled they couldn’t get a puncture that’s the point in them.

I haven't heard of tyres for cars that are foam filled. Try another tyre company because this is a new one on me (please don't go to kwik fit).

Never heard of this either!

My son had a puncture today. He drives 6 miles each day and came home from work with a screw in his tyre. We popped to our nearest garage and they sorted a new one.

Perhaps what they meant. I hate run flats, and I have replaced them on 2 cars that had them on for normal tyres.

It’s a really new car and I have breakdown cover, just trying to find details to call them
