We also had to do this probably when I was around 10 back in 1986. It was with British Caledonian. i don't remember having to get off the plane though.

For my honeymoon in 2005 we flew with travel city direct and had upgraded to first (or at least they called it first class!)
It was actually the best flight I’ve had - the seats were literally in the nose cone of the plane in a triangle shape which I haven’t experienced before or since, so there was loads of room.

These are mine from my trips to the Sunshine State mostly from BHX but with one or two from LGW/LHR

Virgin Atlantic B747
Britannia B757 via Bangor, Maine
United Airlines B757 via Washington
First Choice B767
Thomson B767
United Airlines B777 via Washington
TUI B787

Best aircraft I've flown on is the 787, worst was the 757 purely for how we were packed in like sardines and having painful blocked ears during the flight

We flew Britannia in 1995 and 1996. I’m sure at least one of those times was in to Tampa
2005 was Virgin 747 in MAN-MCO. I think that may I have been the last time I flew on a 747 anywhere.
2006 was internal flights in the US as I lived there at the time.

Monarch Tristar? Looks like Manchester c. 2000?

My Dad always took photos of the planes. Then I would make up albums and bin the plane photos as too boring.

We flew indirect from Manchester via Chicago in a shiny new BMI plane, probably around the turn of the century. I think it was the first time we'd seen seat-back TV, but I may be mistaken (we've used a lot of airlines, I have no brand loyalty).
