We went on the beach with our a couple of years ago, Bridlington isn't far either both have dog friendly sections of beach. We did try to go to fraisethorpe in the summer but it was just too busy to be comfortable re covid, but would be lovely in a normal summer.

We were in Hornesea a couple of weeks ago . It’s a lovely little town with a range of shops / restaurants . Not loads to do if you have children but a good base to explore the coast and the “old fashioned “ seaside towns .
Freeport shopping Centre is also in Hornsea.

It's certainly a sleepy little place. Not somewhere to go if you want a lot of action.

We often go with our GSDs and walk north on the beach up towards Barmston and Fraisthorpe. You can also walk the old Hornsea to Hull railway line (although you'd not want to walk all the way as it's a bit of a trek!).

There's also a cracking chippy called Whiteheads

No, not looking for any action, just like a walk with the dogs, a sit down for coffee and browse of the shops... and a break away from home... and DH may or may not like a pint...

Theres not a lot to do but if it's just a nice beach and a dog walking place it's fine, theres a nice garden centre nearby and Freeport shopping, and you are only 20 mins from Beverley which is lovely, you can give the dog a good run on Beverley Westwood

There used to be a good chocolatier/cafe in Hornsea, not been for a while so don't know if it's still there. The Freeport is like a ghost-town, more empty units than full.
