The new dining plan package, new options

Anyone else heard about the new dining plan package due to be released?

‘Disney Dining Plan Plus is a brand-new Disney dining plan option only available as part of a Disney Resort hotel package. This new plan allows Guests to redeem their two meals each day in any combination of either Table Service, Quick Service, or Character Dining, or a combination.’

The new Disney Dining Plan Plus starts from February 28, 2020.

This was announced on WDWNt today

Will be interesting to see if this is included if free dining is released.

Isn’t that just the current dining plan!? Apart from it doesn’t mention snacks.
Will be interesting to see what makes it ‘plus.’

To me it reads that you could have all TS or all QS if you want, which sounds a bit weird especially if you are purchasing a plan.

I’ll post the link

wdwnt/2020/02/new-disney...g-february-27/

It sounds like if you want to use two TS credits as your meal credits a day then you can or if you want to use them on QS you can to.
Unlike the current one which is one TS and one QS. Giving you more flexibility and more ADR’s to book if you wish.

It sounds like a smaller version of the deluxe dining plan which offers three meals a day which can be TS or QS.

Thanks for posting the link. I agree with Bev it sounds like an in between DDP and DxDDP.

Wonder if it will be offered for select resorts in the free dining promo?

I’ve never stayed on site. Is the DDP good value? It appears handy but does it tie you down a bit? Is it worth considering?

You are not tied down any more than you choose to be. I plan my ADRs in advance but I am wasting my time as I change the majority of them on the day anyway. There is always plenty of availability for same day bookings, even popular places, I have just looked and could get into the hardest ADR to get, California Grill brunch, this morning if I wanted to.

The value question is a bit harder to answer, I think “it depends” comes into it. You could certainly get value out of the dining plan if you wanted lots of expensive character meals, steaks and lobster. On the other hand, if you did not buy a plan, then you might eat differently, go offsite, have cereal in room etc and end up spending less than the plan would cost. I think the plan itself, is priced about right for somebody that wants exactly what it offers.

Thank you for responding. I guess it really makes it easy as part of the on site package.
