Surprise box help

Morning Dibbers,

Hope you are all safe and well 😊😊.

Trying to stay positive and get my thinking cap on. I know this may sound a little cheesy. However over the past few year my mum and dad have done a lot for me, even booking our holiday. So I would like to do a little surprise box for them to take away with.

They are both in their 60’s and I was wondering if you guys have any ideas what I can put in it for them. So far I thought a nice water bottle for wondering around, Disney jammies, and then I’ve got stuck. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ☺️😃☺️😃

A holiday surprise box or general thank you box?
In a holiday one - cool towel, ponchos, lip balm, hand gels that hang on bags (disney type ones on etsy), nice luggage tags, sweets + fluffy sox + puzzle book for the plane, planner book or notebook/pen, dollars, cross body bag for DM ...

Add some dollars for them to buy a meal.
Hand sanitizer
Handbag sized wet wipes
Magazines/books

Just be careful as they will obviously be asked at the airport if the packed the bag and contents themselves.

How about loading up a card with some money for them. Or arranging for a floral display/fruit basket to be waiting for them upon areival

I’ve read about getting things delivered to your room etc, do you have any suggestions how to go about it? As not sure where to start with this

Check out angelbabe on here. She runs a holding/delivery service . She has been amazing with my requests and many others on here recommend her too. She is also a regular poster.

I have never done this myself so couldn’t personally recommend by one. However I would suggest you do a search on the dibb to see popular suggestions.

You could maybe get them some magic bands made?

We haven’t been asked whether we packed our bags ourselves for 4-5 years; usually fly 7-8 times a year.

Previous posts mentioned that most airlines no longer ask this as no-one is likely to admit they’re not sure what’s in their luggage.
More sophisticated x-rays, screening, use of dogs etc is more effective to address this.

l
But surely it will be given in time for them to adjust their luggage accordingly? The gift would be a great one, but who would want to carry 'extra' bottles, pj's, socks etc and why would they have that space to accommodate the extra?
