Router / WIFI help

Hi all,

Not sure if someone can help but a friend set up our wifi and router as a secure connection and renamed the wifi as Disney (of course) but since yesterday it is coming up as the manufacturer name and is not secure anymore.

It's not been unplugged or anything - does anyone know how I can get it back to 'disney' and make it secure?

Interesting - Are you with Virgin? I only ask as something similar happened to my parents the other week,

Anyway , you can change all the settings via the admin page. It depends on the make/model for exact instructions.

It's "probable" that if you put 192.168.0.1 into your web browser you'll be asked for the admin password for the router. A quick google search will tell you the default. You can change all the settings there.

the default password is on the bottom of the router

You need to reset everything .

have tried all of the above and reset it - Logged into the router and password protected it but it wont come up on our devices now! - have reverted to it being unsecure and will try and get our friend over this weekend - I hate technology! lol

Are you still using the Virgin router ? Which model and I'll see if I can find some screenshots /examples.
