I am new to this Dibbing thing, it was my first time to Disney last week. But have been reading these threads for a while now and don't think I have ever seen anyone not get what they want when they book at 180 days.

I think there are lots of threads in which people are worrying about not getting what they want, which others see and then they start to worry as well. But it really does not seem to be that hard to get tables.

I got everything I wanted at 180 days and then I chopped and changed for weeks with no issues whatsoever. There was then a period where certain restaurants were fully booked like BOG or California Grill for example, but then once here, even these open up as people make last minute changes to their plans.

Can I just ask do you guys phone up or use the app? My window opens this week, and even though I only want 2 ADR's they are big ones (BOG and Narcossees), so doubt I will get.

I used the app bang on 11'oclock. There were a couple of options for BOG when I looked. We are out of the half term week, so I think that's why there is a little more availability than the weeks before.

I would have thought you would be ok with Narcooses as well. We want on our last trip and loved it there! X

Next April will be first time we've made the big step of treating ourselves to staying onsite and yes we will get disney dining not sure if quick dining or disney dining to include a table service sitting would be the best choice? I cant get my head around booking 180 days in advance how does one know what they will feel like eating so far in advance? I know of one day id defo like to book a nice evening sitting somewhere, any recommendations? For DWs birthday, V&A would be a dream but around a 1000 dollars is out of our league , although using the 200 dollar voucher is a great way of bringing that down and a momentous 10th anniversary youll remember for ever!

V&A doesn't need to be quite $1000 we are going for the 7 course rather than the 10 course. With wine pairing it's will be $500 for the both of us and then we have the $200 gift card off that. Don't get me wrong still expensive but from what I have read, it's an experience of a life time.

It does seem off having to book meals at 180days out but the popular restaurants need to be booked at that time but not all. You will always get availability on the day somewhere... so even if you just booked the special meals that that you knew you really wanted.

For me my two key ones were V&A and Cali Grille ... I was pretty flexible with the others, so could have left til nearer the time had I wanted to but I am an OCD planner and like to have my whole week mapped out!

Hubby thinks I am crazy at this point but once there he loves that everything is booked and how relaxed it makes the holiday! If you don't fancy the meal you have pre booked at that point you can always cancel and rebook elsewhere. (Giving 24hr notice)

Use the full desktop website at 11am...the app can be glitchy and seeing as the phones don't open until midday you've nothing to lose by trying.

Just a little note about my experience with booking Narcoossees - I wanted a Sunday night about 6 days into our stay...when I went to reserve it there was nothing at all available for the entire dinner service period. I rang and was told the same and that it was probably booked for a private event. Fast forward 2 weeks and I'm switching some ADRs..check Narcoossees and there are tables available. So it's always worth re checking...it seems that sometimes they're not released in time for the 180 booking period
