Same for us. Our local airport in terms of flights to Florida and would be great when landing and tired to have a shorter journey home, but never found good enough prices?

I think it's partly because Tui dominate the flights there. Flights have sold out at the beginning of the summer holidays so people are willing to pay the premium.. I know what you mean in terms of the drive home. I'm 10 minutes down the road from the airport but I've gone with Manchester which it saves us £600

Usually expensive to go from Doncaster but absolutely the best airport if you can get the price right. Park right out side and walk to terminal, 5 mins through customs, light/spacious and never crowded! Go for it!

We've booked to fly from there in 2021. We would have flown from there last year but it was £300 more than east midlands. I got a package with tui that I was happy with. It will be so much nicer not having to have a long drive home on return.

I live in Doncaster. It’s a great airport and so convenient for us. We always fly from there when going short haul and looking to book with Tui in April for Sep 2021 (free dining 🤞🏻 ) for The 50th celebrations.
🤫 don’t tell everyone how fab it is though 🤣 we like our little quiet airport 🤪 |

It's my favourite airport, so easy to get to for us and then a doddle to find everything once you're in. It isn't huge and there aren't a load of shops but there is enough for the essentials. It is pretty roomy and light so feels very spacious, I've never found it to be hugely busy either.
We haven't flow to Orlando from there yet, as others have said Manchester does tend to be cheaper for that trip. |
