Booked Las Vegas

Hello! We did it, we booked Las vegas for our wedding anniversary! In june just 7 days after we return from Gran Canaria.
So we have 2 children 17 and 13. 13 year old coming to Gran Canaria but 17 year old staying at home (his choice) but none of them coming to las vegas. We are going to have a cheap week away some time in August. All 4 of us.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what is a must do? We are staying at the Venetian Hotel? We have a mustang and I really want to go to death Valley? Any trip reports anyone would recommend. We are there for 5 nights!

We stayed at the Venetian in September, it's incredible, best hotel on the strip in our opinion. We hired a mustang and went to red rock canyon and Hoover dam, would recommend both!

Red Rock Canyon is nice for a few hours, but it is no Death Valley or Valley of Fire.

You could do VoF and loop round to come back down Lake Mead and go across to Hoover Dam.

Death Valley is the other side and really needs a good long day to cover it all, although you can do a smaller loop in not much over half a day.

The South rim for grand Canyon is probably out for such a short time out there as it really needs 2 days. You could do the much smaller but still breathtaking West Rim in a day and include the Hoover dam in that as you go past it.

Venetian in a nice place on the strip depending on what you like to do red rock a must all so the ghost town sorry forgot the name . We hope to be going back in September and thinking of doing mob museum and neon museum. We all ways buy the American casino guide as there loads of vouchers in there well worth the price.

We stayed at the Venetian in August and loved every minute. We went to a few concerts and shows, we booked tickets before we went. Also recommend a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon, we flew over the Hoover dam and back down the Steip on the way back.
