Yep, I've been to Cancun.
I have to be honest, if I was going back to Mexico I wouldn't pick Cancun, it's very Americanised, it would be nice to see real Mexico imho.

Let me know if you have any specific questions, we stayed at The Moon Palace which was just outside Cancun but went in a few times.

Hi,
We have been to Mexico twice and stayed on the caribbean side at Playcar which is about 40 minutes from Cancun. It was fantastic. We visited Cancun a couple of times for shopping but agree that it is very American and in all honesty you could have been anywhere. Playacar was more Mexican but still within reach of all that Cancun has to offer. The beaches and sea were also much nicer being the caribbean end. Would love to go back! Jo. |

Bec,
we stayed at a hotel called 'The carribean village' which was an allegro resort hotel, the 'Diamond resort' also in Playacar but right on the beach belongs to the same group and certain 'all-inclusive' privilleges were interchangable there. They also have a hotel in Cancun and again when you visit you can use your 'all-inclusive' package there too. Jo. |
