Hertz Best Rate Guarantee

I have managed to get Hertz to price match plus reduce 10% off the price. So I'm down to £360 for a 7 seater, 2 weeks next year 😁

Just thought I'd put it out there incase anyone wasn't aware of this offer.

If You see a Hertz vehicle cheaper with a different supplier, You can use the Best rate guarantee. You need to have a Hertz booking and process a claim within 24 Hrs. The whole process only took 2 days.

If You time it right, theres a deal to be had. 😁

Just out of interest where did u see it cheaper? Just seen auto Europe have a deal on hertz promo when signed in so coming out at £570 for ours dates for 16 nights (currently 607 booked with Alamo brits) with the 10% that bwas an extra 57 quid off so be worthwhile.

Just reading terms not sure if they would honour it as signed in as a member for auto Europe?

Also easy enough to cancel I’m guessing should it not go through?

Looking at hertz as if direct you can go straight to the garage I believe so similar to Alamo in that sense. Booking a minivan so not much choice anyway generally.

I reserved initially through auto Europe at a great price.

Then ordered like for like through Hertz directly and then processed a price match claim within 24 hours with them. it's at their discretion but I had no drama.

Auto Europe you can make a booking and pay nearer the time.

With Hertz I think you will have to pay in full at time of booking, If You choose to pay at collection it gets calculated in $ and Hertz say they can't price match $ to £

I think there is a straight to the garage option but you have to be a Hertz member or something, I've not looked into it yet.


If they price match it plus 10% off then your happy days.

Worse they can say is no, if they do just log in and cancel the booking and stick with the auto Europe booking. You'll get a refund in a few days, simples.
