Hi Lisag

Ermones is on the west coast of Corfu. The beaches in this area are the best on the island. You are probably only a half hour from Corfu town and the airport.

The Ermones Beach Hotel is the best hotel in the resort. There are not a lot of tavernas in Ermones, the best are probably George's and The Nafsica. Good day trips are:
Corfu Town (be sure to have a drink on the Liston and people watch).
Mount Pandokrator (360 degree views) and - if you have a car- the deserted village of Perithea (accessed from, and not to be confused with), Nea Perithia.
Kalami is the coastal village made famous by the Durrells and a great place for a long lunch with great views is the only taverna in neighbouring Kouloura.

North of Ermones is Paleokastrista. Many lovely bays but very hilly on foot.
Kassiopi is worth half a day out. You can see Albania very clearly across the sea.

Enjoy your hols

Ken
