Boys in Barcelona

Now this is going to be a challenging trip!

Colin's getting an apt from 8-17 August for him and the boys.

I'm using my airmiles to join them from 9-12th.

His lads are 16 and 18 so they are going to want to bar and club it - sigh - soo young!

Has anyone any recomendations where young cool dudes can go with their not so young elders hangng around as well?

Mind you, once they get the geography right, they'll probably go off on their own (thinks hopefully)

Hi Briar Rose.

EVERYBODY walks down the Ramblas. All human life is here
Start at Plaza de Catalunya and walk past the flower sellers, bird sellers, mime artists, musicians and painters. But watch out for pick pockets.
Fantastic sea food restaurants down ay Marina Port Vell
Good tapas in the streets surrounding the Catherdal, and on Via Laietana
You will pay most money for a coffee or a drink on the Ramblas pavements or in nearby Plaza Reial. Every where else is OK
DONT MISS Church of the Sagrada Familia. Go into the basement and see the model inwood.
DON'T MISS The illuminated fountain (and music) at Montjuic.
The coolest bars are around the University
A great way to see the sites is the tourist bus. One ticket for all day (or two days). hop on hop off.
The Hard Rock is in Plaza de Catalunya

Sorry can't help you with clubs

Enjoy

Ken

Did the Ramblas last year - can't say that I actually enjoyed the experience as it was just so full of tourists - LOL

I preferred the streets to wither side - ful of interesting little shops .

The reason I was asking as it's a differnt perspective this tiem as I had 2 little(ish) giels and my little Danny(then 4), so we tailored the trip to them - going to the zoo and the aquarium etc.

This time it's a 'grown up' trip.

I don't tend to do the touristy things like cathedrals - we admired the outside of sagrada Familia last time- to tight to pay to go into a church

Expect I'll spend my daytimes on the beach and shopping while the boys go to the stadiums, then evenings with them in bars and clubs.

port olympic...
this website link is for baja beach club...has some nightclubs next to it and also bars in the marina area. I went as a group of 10 and we had a ball.
bajabeach.es/

This has a map and how to get there aswell.

Also check out Nou Camp which was fab, easy to get to!
Don't go pre-match.

The university area is good aswell, and hard rock cafe has great food if you get a bit bored of the tapas etc...Try the side streets in the ramblas for Irish bars and british food!
