Animal kingdom lowdown please

Hi guys, we are off to animal kingdom in August. We went a few years ago but didn't plan so would like to do it all again and be able to enjoy properly.
So where do we go first? What's not to miss? Eat? Any tips in general would be greatly appreciated!
We have 2 boys (9&6) who love rides so expedition Everest is a must do!

The safari is a must do! - Especially in the morning. But each time you ride you see different animals.

The water Rapids!

Tusker House is good for a character Breakfast.

A bugs life is also a must for us! Oh and Lion King - Simply Beautiful!

I love animal Kingdom - I could stand at the tree of life for hours - Simply stunning

On paper it looks like there's not much but we love AK.

Hit the safari first thing (do as a walk on) and then do a trail before heading to Kali River Rapids and another trail. After lunch (Yak & Yeti!) have FP+ for Lion King show, Dinosaur and Expedition Everest. Go to DinoLand for a few walk-ons late afternoon and let the kids loose in the Boneyard while you recharge then It's Tough to be a Bug then Finding Nemo show. If you manage all day do another safari before you leave, it'll be totally different from the first one you did in the morning.

Edited at 05:44 PM.

Try and do the safari first thing as the animals are more active... we saw loads on our 8.30 am ride in April. Also Festival of the Lion King is a great show, one not to be missed x

amazing park would say its my favorite. Yak and yeti is a must eat! the food is just amazing. Don't forget the rapids so much fun but you do get soaking.

AK is brilliant with so much to do, we spent a few days there last August but still didn't get everything done.
Highlights for us were The Lion King show, Finding Nemo, Everest, Kali River Rapids, Safari & Dinosaur.

I really liked Tusker House, Dinosaur and Everest. There are some great meet and greets at AK too, Baloo and Louie and Dug and Russell were both highlights for us. I thought the Finding Nemo show was awful and would avoid that next time.

I felt it was really congested with all the hoardings. It was still a good day don't get me wrong but not as enjoyable.
