Havent stayed since the refurbs, but friends said that the new floorings isnt good if someone above decides to wear heeled shoes and walks around.
I wouldnt worry to much about upper floors. There are lifts and you only have to take the cases up once. And you cant complain about walking up and down a few stairs each day as this is nothing compared to the miles you will walk each day in the parks.

We stayed on the 3rd floor and had no problems with noise. We used the lift when we arrived with our luggage.

Earning More Ears
|
We stayed on the first floor last year and I can't remember hearing noise from other guests but we were tired out and would have probably slept through a hurricane.
The toilets really are aggressive though! There was one morning we were woken up by a bird thinking it was a car alarm. |

We have always had rooms that are opposite the pool on the ground floor,
Block 5 on Revellers Row. (never requested anything specific - just always seem to end up here!) The rooms are set back from the "street" so you get very little foot traffic directly past your window in this location. We had plants separating the walkway that the rooms connect onto and the main "street". This block was great as it was so close to the QS restaurant (for mug refills), the pool, the bus and the boat. I don't recall any room noise issues at all, so nothing to worry about I would say. |

We stayed for 2 weeks and didn’t hear anything. Such a lovely and quiet resort I felt like we where the only ones staying at times.
