Hi and magic band help please!

Hi all
We are heading to Disney in August we are staying in Bay Lake Tower for the first 3 nights then Saratoga for the rest but im not sure how to link my park tickets on our magic bands? Will we get 2 lots of magic bands as we have 2 reservations? We bought the tickets yesterday and have a code so planned to link the tickets tonight, will we get new magic bands when we move to Saratoga or can we continue to use the ones that we will have got in Bay Lake?

Yes you would get two lots of bands, you should be able to see them online already. I have a number of previous magic bands that are all "active" and so are all going to work.

Thanks for the reply, should i just link the tickets to the first set of bands that we will receive in Bay Lake? Its not showing magic bands for the second reservation in Saraotga...

I might be wrong as I always get a Disney package. But I thought you just need to book tickets to your account, magic bands to your account and then everything is connected to each other.

you do not link anything to the magic band


you have a MDX account, it's your vault, or safe, it contains everything from your room number(s) to your tickets, fastpasses, and everything

then you have a key, it's called a Magic Band

so, put your tickets into your "safe" ( = link tickets to your MDX account, and assign each tickets to the person who will be using it

your keys (you'll get one at each resort) have already been linked (when you linked your hotel reservations) to each person in the room

each person has their key (MB), they will be able to open the safe with it, and use whatever is stored (linked) under their name (tickets, FP+, dining reservations, and all)

all the "keys" of a person, open the same "safe"
you can use either of them

think of your MBs as the keys to your house, they might be different colors on your keyring, but they all open the same door. You can use either of them
