Which Disney value hotel?

We’re looking at booking a Disney value hotel next August for 10 nights,me,DH and DS (8).We normally stay in moderates but are looking for a ‘cheaper’ visit just doing Disney.Which resort would you recommend?I like the look of Art of Animation,but the boys like All Star Sports.Any recommendations?

Not stayed there, but I'd look at Pop for the refurbished rooms and the Skyliner.

Don't know much about the buses but you do have the Skyliner to get to Hollywood Studios & Epcot as it shares the Skyliner Station with Pop Century

Sounds good! We are hoping to experience the Skyliner from CBR this year, but who knows!

I was last there in September at Beach Club last year, and really as hoping it would open when I was there but missed it opening by a couple of weeks.

We loved the theming and the food court at POP. ALso bus service is good BUT not sure since gondolas introduced, these look amazing.
Also, you can easily walk past the pool and over a bridge into art of animation.
You can browse and/or eat their too.

so best of bth worlds.

I wasn't keen on the foodcourt there though.
Proper cutlery-a plus BUT menu was a bit 'too veggie/seeds/salad for me -sorry.

My DS loves his burgers, icecream and pizza/pasta and I like my stir fry's or salmon salad and veg or rice! Hence POP all the way for us.

Check out the menus too before decision.

Also look at the All Stars as they are v good value too.

Might have a little more of a look at POP. Good tip about looking at the menus in the food court too!

We stayed at Pop Century last December in a preferred room which was near the main building and facilities. It was the first time we had stayed in a value resort and were quite apprehensive but loved the resort and the feel of it. It was easy to negotiate and having the skyliner is a real bonus. Would definitely stay here again.
