Both of ours turn on the extractor fans as well. We turn them off after the shower.

I’ve never turned ours off, it’s hidden behind the cupboard. We don’t even turn it off when we go on holiday.

I have never even seen one and lived in various places all with showers . My current home is new build - 2 showers and no pull cords (switch outside to isolate the fans but has no effect on showers) . Sounds like something rather fashioned - I have a hatred of pull cords so must have some alternative (bless my showers have been a different sort ? ) - anyway I have survived ...

I have a red switch outside the bathroom and only ever turn it on to use the shower then switch it off again

I think they are for electric showers rather than showers ran off the gas powered hot water

Mine have are power showers so have a pump in the utility room near the heat exchanger so maybe a switch there but yes they done have electric element
