Maybe a silly question but if you are staying in halls can you have a mini fridge in your room?
My daughter will need one for her insulin. I do not want it kept in a shared kitchen. Plus it takes up two shelves so not practical anyway.

My daughter had a mini fridge in halls last year and it fitted nicely under her desk.

I think they will often make an exception for medical supplies even if it’s not typically allowed.

When you do the actual application for the maintenence loan you as the parents have to confirm your details (they email you) they do ask about your other children in education as I had to put in DS details but not sure if it includes other children at university. It meant DD got about £200 more so not a massive difference.

I would have hoped they would take into account twins/triplets etc. I'm a twin and I wasn't allowed to go to University as we could only get 1 grant so my sister went.
Thank you for the info. I’m so sorry you didn’t get your chance, that’s really rotten.

They do. Need to make arrangements first, don't just install one in her room. They may even supply it

I wouldn’t worry, my daughter doesn’t even know what subject she wants to study

mine has just sat the Chemistry A level for "revaluation" as her teacher grade was not what she expected (others were in line with expectations), won't get the result til 17th Dec so she won't be applying til after then as her choices will depend on whether she has achieved what she wanted,
