What meal was served to you as a kid but you have never had it as an adult?

Really cheap battered fish 🤢 and my mum used to make boiled potatoes, literally whole potatoes just boiled in water... never cooked enough so always hard also mash potato with no milk or butter and lots of lumps! My mum is and always has been an awful cook, oven on full whack so burned on the outside and raw in the middle lol 😂
She did make a lovely rice pudding though!

Omg, goblin meat puddings... I used to love these. I think you were supposed to steam them in the can. We had the ones with the straight sides, open top which had mince beef in them. My mum used to open both ends of the can and push it own onto a baking sheet and pop in the oven, they used to crisp up. These and homemade chips... they were so good.

Every Sunday at teatime it was tinned fruit cocktail with either condensed milk or that awful cream you could buy in a can.
Bread and something that was supposed to be butter which my grandmother used to dip in the fruit juice and condensed milk/fake cream, it used to turn my stomach and I’ve never touched canned fruit cocktail condensed milk or that horrible cream since
