If you’re not already on there, FB has some very good RunDisney pages which sometimes get insider info a day or two before stuff gets announced

I think what they decide to do with Wine & Dine will be an indicator as to the likelihood of Marathon weekend. If Wine and Dine goes ahead Marathon weekend must be a sure bet.
Did you book through a TA in Feb? I don’t recall bibs being available direct that early (as I was still debating going at that point) but decided not to - nothing to do with the pandemic though. The TA route in normal times is a way to get a bib earlier

I'm not holding out for any updates any time soon. The RunDisney website still has last years wine and dine details up with no dates up for this year yet!

I had been thinking about Dopey 2021 but clearly that didn't happen (not that I really had much time to train for a marathon in 2020)!
Will be keeping an eye out for Dopey 2022, but realistically don't see myself going to WDW then unless the situation changes massively. (Keeping aside the issue of whether the races are going ahead - I'd also need to have much better flight availability, removal of the need to quarantine upon return home, and other things before I can travel abroad...)

Greatdays Holidays
Not holding much hope for a Run Disney in Jan 2022 with the current situation.

That’s why you were able to get the bib early then, bib only sales are a bit later usually
I wouldn’t definitely write it off yet. I guess Disney know when the drop dead date is to decide (suspect when they start incurring external costs but just a guess! Or maybe linked to hotel occupancy targets) I’d probably take a punt if I was going after the 5k only because the cost is so small. Bibs aren’t transferable unless something dramatic changes in the RunDisney T&Cs which is why I would not contemplate the risk for Goofy or Dopey.

That’s actually very normal for RunDisney ... they never update until there is an agreed date and as I suspect they won’t decide for now, will be left like that until they decide.
It’s absolutely the extra hurdles international participants will have, isn’t it... !
