Surely the point is the media made it their business to make sure the whole country DID know every detail of her misfortunes .

No but fair and proportionate reporting would be a start. Nobody has said she hadn’t done anything wrong but she hadn’t been found guilty yet except by the media. As a result, a promising young life has been lost and there are lives shattered and hearts broken by the loss of a daughter, sister, friend etc
