When are you looking for flights for? I can’t make it out tbh is it this summer of next? I’m not sure where you are travelling from but the trains can be expensive but you could maybe see about flying.

Last year our friends got august flights for £430 via Dublin so keep checking.

Try TUI. Can be much cheaper than Virgin

Flights are for 8th July - 17th August this year. Flying from Manchester

This is not supposed sound unsympathetic but maybe you are putting too many obstacles in your own way to find a bargain.

Bargains come when you are prepared to be a bit adaptable, different airport, different dates etc etc.

Maybe you should decide your absolute priorities:

Local departure airport
Non stop
Dates
Parking
Accomodation
Transfers
Food
Etc

Put them in order then start from their and see what you can find.

Good luck!

Oh gosh, so frustrating for you.

But this. If you don’t compromise on something, you’re unlikely to find flight prices to suit. I don’t think they’re going to all of a sudden drop x

What about one way car hire? A very quick google shows £80 from Manchester to Gatwick with Enterprise. Not sure exactly where you live, but it’s a ball park figure. It’s a 24hr hire so can pack the car the night before?

I have been like the OP but if we want future Florida holidays I will have to be less specific... this is a great idea if you can hire larger vehicles
