Clearwater for us.
Lovely Long Beach walkway. Pier 60 sunset celebration. Some fabulous boat trips. Little toot is our fav! Plenty of places to eat and drink. Park the car and relax |

I've never been to Clearwater - but spent two weeks on AMI last year - so I would say go there! You can go to all the beaches within a short drive. Loads of places to eat and such beautiful beaches. Whatever you decide, you will have a wonderful time - enjoy!

I really can't be the only one that dislikes Clearwater, found away from the sea front grubby and full of drunks yuk.
Whilst Anna Marie island is becoming overcrowded it is infinitely preferable. |

Not a fan of Clear water, too busy and built up. Anna Maria is lovely and relaxing in comparison.
Coming from Cornwall, I have a preference for low rise... Or better still, no rise.

Been to both, if you want the more relaxing day then AMI else Clearwater, AMI would be an extra drive but worth it IMHO

Anna Maria without a doubt. More like old Florida and so much more laid back. Better food and plenty of parking.

We're just back from both of them and I would pick Anna Maria.
We found Clearwater had got so built up in the couple of years since we'd last been. Anna Maria is beautiful with no high-rises and worth the extra drive. Two lovely little piers, wonderful beaches and lazy feel. Just don't go on a weekend!
