Would you bother travelling abroad for 2 nights?

A couple of my friends are heading off to Tenerife for 2 nights in May. I just can't see the point of going all that way for the sake of 2 nights, I mean seriously what is the point? I just cannot be bothered with the hassle of airports, transfers etc etc for a such short period of time.

Having said that, my friends very much live their lives on through Facebook, we know what they have had for their tea, when they go shopping and so on maybe this trip is for the Facebook update and check-ins This is a standard joke I have with them, they know they do it but their reasoning is that people will think they're not doing anything unless they actively do something. Hilarious!

Yes, I would. I've been to Dublin for the day and we flew there. I enjoy flying and going to the airport is part of the holiday for me - especially if there's an airport lounge booked!

I think it would depend how far you are from the airport though. We're about 45 minutes from Birmingham, we actually stayed at the hotel the night before our trip to Dublin as the PI was cheap.

I have been to Rome for 2 nights and Dublin for 2 nights but obviously these were short flights. Depends how close airport is,how far flight is and flight times.

Yes I would definitely.
We love short breaks, in fact prefer them to longer holidays tbh.
We do 2 night city breaks often and was just talking about doing a short break abroad later this year or next instead.
Lots of places to see, short breaks are a perfect way to see them.

It would depend how long the travel time was but If its a direct flight from my local airport then yes. Tenerife is a bit far but I’d definitely do Spain for a weekend.

Yep do a regular basis hand luggage and have a cheeky week end or mid week.
Each to Own as always would be boring and expensive we were all the same.

Definitely ... apart from the usual European destinations I’ve been to Washington DC for two nights to see hubby, and I’ve been to Vegas for one night (travelled with my dd who was at the time BA cabin crew). Life’s too short, if you want to go don’t let the journey put you off.
