Ohh my word, well I wasn’t expecting that ending to the decadent trip! Gosh what a shocker for you. I wish I’d known earlier as I went through a similar thing about 18 months ago. It’s all so worrying isn’t it and you start to fear the worst and all the different scenarios in your head (maybe that’s just me!) Mine apparently was the size of a watermelon but all good news when tested, it just took a while to recover. And to be honest, I still get tired now and find bending and lifting a struggle. I think it’s because I had such a big wound to get the melon out, it’s just knackered my stomach muscles! I’m hoping and hoping it’s all positive news for you too, hang in there lovely xx

Thank you for sharing your story. That does sound very similar to my situation. I’m recovering well but not as fast as all the blurb says , mainly due to the larger wound as like yourself it was melon sized. I can’t believe i was walking round Dubai with that alien in there ! I’ve had a relative all clear as it was borderline so blood tests for 5 years but I will take that as a result .

I see you have a nice countdown
Andy is keen for us to go back to Dubai or somewhere similar just to relax and do nothing in sunshine for a week or so. I like the idea but can’t contemplate when I’m going to be fit enough to cope and enjoy it. A little way off yet but Im sure one day I will get up and be ready to hit the book button.

Thanks for reading x

Hi Amanda,
Well there I am looking for your recent trip and read all through to get that awful news, I am so glad it sounds positive but that recovery sounds tough!
Sorry I have been so absent , we lost Peter's Mum in October after a short battle with Pancreatic cancer. Horrible C that one. Now Head of HR so work all hours but love it and the company I work for.
I hope the boys are all well and that you rest up, let Andy look after you and recover soon. We will get that coffee up town one day!

Just read your trip report and thoroughly enjoyed it, but was so sorry to hear about your illness.

Glad to hear that the prognosis is good and hope that you are feeling much better now.

Hi there, sorry to read your sad news too. Glad it’s more settled at work though. I do feel I turned the corner this week on recovery. Much more like my old self . Even looking at flights Lovely to hear from you x
