Mobile Parking near Etihad Stadium

My husband and I are taking our son and his friend to Etihad stadium in Manchester for the Metallica concert on Tuesday (travelling from Scotland) can anyone suggest somewhere close by to park?

Bondy Lad is your person for this. He gave me some great instructions for parking when we went to see Take That - it was just down the road and on a small industrial firm's car park. It was a few minutes walk, but the best thing was that we were straight away after the concert, and not impacted at all when they shut the main road to traffic to let the pedestrians leave the stadium.

Will see if I can find a link to his post.

DH took our son to Muse there last Saturday & they parked in a school nearby. It was £12 but going towards school funds so he thought that was fair. He said they were really friendly & felt happy leaving his car there. They were straight out after as they weren’t blocked in.

Here's the link to my thread, and Bondy Lad's advice is Post number 14.

https://DIBB.in/6326006

We parked at the first industrial unit after the traffic light turning. It was only a small car park so no queuing to get out either.

It’s an old thread, but hopefully someone will come along and confirm whether it’s still the same.

Thanks again to you both!

Do you know if there are any restaurants nearby?

almost nothing nearby. we thought there would be a nearby pub or something, in the end, we found a pizza/kebab shop about quarter of a mile away, but that was pretty much it!

My son always parks on Briscoe Lane for the footie, never had any problems.

This is where I park for the stadium too. Turn at the cemetery on to Briscoe Lane and then left onto Ten Acres Lane. The abbatoir on Briscoe Lane charge for parking but you can get free street parking and a quick get away from Ten Acres Lane. Maybe a 10 minute walk to the stadium.

The only place I can think to eat right near the stadium is McDonald’s I’m afraid. Centre of town isn’t that far though.
