Happily Ever After Dessert Party - Review

I did the Happily Ever After Dessert Party on 25th September so thought a very short review might be useful to some people.

In case you weren't aware there are two different dessert parties offered. There's the Tomorrowland Terrace version - where you have desserts and reserved seating at Tomorrowland Terrace for the show. I believe the is $79 per adult. I actually did the Plaza Gardens version which had desserts in Tomorrowland Terrace but viewing of the show was instead in the Plaza Gardens viewing area (the fake grass area between main street and the hub on the right hand side as you face the castle). This was slightly cheaper at $59 per person.

I'll review this in a few sections:

Food - There was a fair selection of desserts ranging from cupcakes to cheesecakes to oreo cookies. There was also ice creams and, I think, cheeses and crackers. I enjoyed them all but I always find Disney desserts to be incredibly sweet and as such I couldn't eat a whole lot of them.

Drinks - One of the main failings imo. You get a glass of non alcoholic apple cider when you arrive and then there is different kinds of juices. I understand that, being in MK, they won't serve alcohol at this one but there's no excuse at this price for there not being coke products available. Especially as they were included with the jingle bell jingle bam dessert party (and I believe they're also included with the star wars and illuminations parties).

Viewing Area - For Happily Ever After, with its increased use of projections, I think this is the perfect viewing area. The viewing at Tomorrowland Terrace may have seating but I think the slightly side on view is an inferior one for this show. Plus everyone was sat down in the Plaza Gardens area anyway when I was there (which should tell you how much space there is to stretch out!) so I ended up getting to watch it from a prime viewing area and was able to sit down to watch it anyways!

Overall Value - Even with this viewing area it's expensive at $59 per person, but with the chaos I experienced trying to get a regular spot for HEA on another night I wholeheartedly recommend this dessert package just for the convenience, viewing location and relaxing experience. At least until the craziness around HEA calms down.

Aww it sounds wonderful! Dessert parties are always pricey - there's always such a premium for MK but it does sound like the view of HEA is amazing!

Thanks for the review- hoping to book this for our last night next year. Will def opt for the garden plaza viewing package, unless Disney cotton on that people seem to prefer this option for the view and bump the price!😁
