Epcot have 2 main attractions - and by the time you get to the second one you will be waiting pretty much same time as none EMH
HS during first hour we managed to do TSM and RR coaster on EMH day. On normal day we managed to get TSM, RnR coaster and ToT for the first hour. 1 hours after opening they were all crazy busy
AK is very easily toured park even without FP+ and it's nicer to walk around when it's quiet.
yy - agree - certainly Epcot and HS get busy more quickly with morning EMH

i should have said this is for only morning hours as we tried them all on both EMH and none EMH days

example HS EMH - 1st hour Toy Story Mania and Rock Coaster. Recommended day none EMH Toy Story, Rock Coaster and Tower of Terror. One hour after opening EMH was substantially busier compared to one hour after - it doesn't help that their EMH for HS are often weekends.

Epcot is complete waste to go EMH. The two headliners are good walk between them and Test Track takes little bit of time so you can do both the first hour and that's about it. One hour after opening Epcot is very busy

WDW have 30469 rooms, 3 people average in room at 85% rate occupancy over 25000 rooms, 75000 onsite guests. They advertise their perks well leading to many onsite guest choosing to go to the suggested park (EMH or EEH). Many Americans buy their basic none hopper ticket - once they are in park, they won't move

To take from one park to another takes time, so if in August it can be welcomed break from the heat and the days are long. In October taking hour to get from AK to MK negates the benefit to hop to quieter park little as the weather is fab and the days are shorter.

Night time - I bet MK is worth it but the rest not as much, however I can't confirmed from personal experience.

I wouldn't call managing to do the two big headliner rides at Epcot in the first hour "a complete waste". Doing these gets them out of the way meaning you can then concentrate on the 'smaller' rides whilst the offsite crowds flock to the headliners. However I do agree that by mid morning it's probably a good idea to head somewhere else.

In the end, its an extra hour when only half the guests (the onsite ones) are there.

Well, you can do exactly the same on a normal day in addition to have lower waits after that. If it's in the summer when the days are so long your plan make sense but in October not so much (although we are doing them again next year). It takes one hour to move to another park negating the benefit somewhat

We are doing them as we are up early first week but our proper touring day is on recommend day

As I said in HS EMH - TSM & Rock Coaster. No EMH - TSM & ToT and Rock Coaster. After one hour - 9 EMH and 10 normal day all headliners have long waits but on EMH the other attractions will also be busier.

Complete waste as not much gained. In fact if you go to Soarin and rush back to Test Track by the time you get to test track the wait will be over 30 minutes.

We went to Epcot morning EMH this April. It was great walking around an almost empty Epcot. We already had a fastpass for Test Track and so concentrated on the other side of the park. We had completed half of Future World before the offsite guests came in.

Together with a fastpass for Test Track, we could then do Mission Space and TT from 9-10am. Then breakfast. Then move on to World Showcase ahead of the crowds - perhaps getting the 20 min boat over to HS if/when Epcot gets busy (we ended up staying in Epcot).

Again, it was the same with AK. An empty park for the first hour, low crowds for the next couple of hours, then concentrate on the shows and the Conservation Station place when the park starts to get busy.

We never managed to get to HS EMH.

We do the morning EMH, but for some reason never quite make it round to the evening EMH.
