Best Fence paint recommendations please...

Managed to get away with not painting / spraying the fence for years but that time has now come.

Garden is getting overhauled now and neighbour and I have to repair / replace some of the fence as part of that, so no option but to paint it all

So, what are the good makes of paint, reading up now and thought Ronseal was a good make but reviews are pretty shabby on their paint ?

Just measured it and we have 54 metres of fence... so was going to cover the other side of it and spray it

Ta for any help

Cuprinol Ducksback is a decent option that won't break the bank. Long lasting water resistance and it'll go through a garden sprayer too.

Another vote for Cuprinol Ducks back, we've just painted our fences in Silver copse a dark grey.

Looks fab and goes really well with our deck and new screen balustrade.

Again only paid £11 a tin.

More important nearly than the paint is the preparation. Perhaps powerhose the whole lot before you start.

Another vote for cuprinol ducksback. I just painted all our fences (so many) and shed, bought 4 tubs of 5 litres each, and only used 2 ! Bought from wilkinsons online for mega cheapness 100% recommended buying a paint sprayer, we got a great one for £35 off amazon, took about 1/4 of the time

Going against the grain. We used ducks back last year because it claims to last 5 years. It looked great when it was done. I was hoping it would last 2 or 3 but it all needs doing again this year. Disappointed!

We just finished ours, used Wickes fence and shed timber care, Silver Pebble colour, £8 for 9L. It needed three coats for a good finish, but we think its pretty good for the price!

DH tells me he uses Crown Shed and fence Opaque finish. He says it dries quick, lasts years and he likes the colours.

I have just sprayed ours with Creocote oil based. B and Q sell it but it’s cheaper at Amazon.

Great finish and repels water well but a bit more expensive than water based, worth it though in my opinion.
