Genesis

Anybody else seeing Genesis on tour. Very excited to be going this week. I know Phil is not in the best of health but it will be amazing, also to see his son drum with the band.
I have my Genesis T-shirt at the ready…..x

Me! We have o2 tickets for the 13th. I'm on a course at Portsmouth uni during the day so will need to travel up afterwards so hoping for no train delays. Have booked the intercontinental for the night. Waiting to see what I need to do for testing or proof of vaccination. It was a pressie for my husbands birthday 2 years ago so hoping it will go ahead. Fingers crossed for everyone with tickets for a good night

We are going to Newcastle on 30th if Phil is still up to it by then! 😬. Still not sure how we feel about our 1st large indoor gig since March 2019 though so not as excited as I was when we originally got the tickets. Have to start getting back into it sometime I suppose. 😊. Between now and Xmas we have 9 gigs which were rescheduled. We are going to be knackered!

DH is nuts about Genesis and bores me to death with them on car journeys but he doesn’t like to see them live anymore and he also prefers their older stuff.
He likes to remember seeing them from years ago.
He does go regularly to see Steve Hackett (in fact going this coming Friday) as he plays all the music from when he was in the band and not the later stuff.
He also recommends the tribute band The Musical Box who again, play original Genesis.
(He’s booked to see their rescheduled gig in February)

Not sure Phil has drummed live in reality for many year, I saw them mid 80s and he was mostly just a front man with Chester Thompson playing 90% of the drum work

I'm at the O2 on the 12th and I'm worried I will feel sorry for Phil. I'm sure he doesn't want that.
Looking forward to it anyway. I'm going on my own as DH isn't a fan.

Yep off to see them , I never knew there were more fans out there!

I don’t know anyone that likes them that I speak too.

Can’t wait to see tony and Mike , I just hope they get some old songs in and hope they don’t play either Jesus he knows me or I can’t dance, bloody awful songs

Shame about Chester Thompson , He should be there too

I wish I was going 😒 we saw Phil Collins a couple of years ago at Madison Square Gardens, he was great! His son was on drums and he has clearly inherited his dads talent.

We’ve got tickets for Manchester on Friday and also for Liverpool on 3rd October. So excited to be seeing Phil again, we last saw him on his ‘not dead yet’ tour in 2017.
