Disneyland in a day?
Hi everyone.
My sister is doing route 66 on her honeymoon next July/August and has room in her schedule for 1 day at Disney. I'm just looking for some tips to pass on to her so she can make the most of the day. What is a must do? Best quick service places so she doesnt waste time sat in a restaurant? Anything you can give me will be most appreciated! TIA x

Excited about Disney

Not been yet, but my gut feel is from watching 1000's of videos and other things on here is that it *can* be done, just not properly.

Yes it can be done. For the first few years I did a one day trip with my friends. We stayed in Santa Monica and would get to the parks around 9am and leave at about midnight.
It needs careful planning and yes for a one day trip I would also advise park hopping and Maxpass. Have a very detailed touring plan. Divide everything from food, merchandise, rides and entertainment into Must Do, Would Like To Do and Maybe If We Have Time The 3 main night time shows all are around the same time, so decide which one is the Must Do Schedule the day with multiple down times, for example plan something which will take you indoors and sitting for about an hour at lunch time and in the evening. Buy things on Main Street at the end of the day. During the day around the parks if there is something you want to buy, then buy it as you might not get back to that shop again. There are lockers of various sizes which you can rent on Main Street so that you don't have to carry all your stuff during the day. |

Yes we did it - we loved it! It was exhausting and we had to accept we wouldn’t see everything. Go early as it’s quieter and soak up the atmosphere. Maxpass wasn’t a thing when we went but I’d imagine that would make it easier to plan.
I’d also recommend Lamplight Lounge for cocktails and lobster nachos 🤤 |
