So running out of things to watch during lockdown I happened across The Orville. For anyone’s who’s watched this, is it just in my head or is it just a parody of Star Trek?

Yes it is a bit but don't give up it grows on you and actually has a style of its own. We love it.

I've seen all the episodes and it develops quite a lot. I really enjoy it.
