Auto Europe refunds - update

Update - we have now received the refund, took 33days (24 working days) in total.

Just wondering if anyone has recent experience of refunds from this company? I've seen a few posts from March/April which have had fairly quick refunds.

We cancelled our car hire on the 31st May and they said refund in 7-10days. We didn't receive it and they said allow another 7 working days. We still haven't received it and they are now saying up to 30 working days. I know these are strange times so I'm not too bothered about the wait, but we've decided to do work on the house and it would be nice to know when I'll have that 1k back to spend!

Does anyone else have any experience?

I'm just looking to cancel mine and today they state there will be a charge of £20 for cancellations due to covid-19 higher cancellation rate.

Did everyone get this charge?
