Very similar to our house. Santa has x budget per child and parents can choose to increase this should they wish.

We always did family bought them but Santa keeps them safe and delivers them if we had been good.

We had Santa presents which were opened and played with in the morning then family presents opened together. That's how it was done for us and we did it for our children and they carry it on.
