BA Aberdeen via Dublin Route.

Can anyone tell me if BA are still doing this route from Aberdeen next year, I have been looking at prices for May & June to get a rough idea for when our July flights come out. But when ever I look there is no offer of this route.

Was hoping to book this way to save changing at London and have the added protection of a package from BA instead of booking direct with Aer Lingus.

It looks like BA aren't doing it - they mustn't have a codeshare agreement with Stobart Air who operate that route for Aer Lingus.

The routings via Dublin are not always available, you may need to put this together as a custom trip under "Flight and Hotel" then put each part of the routing together Aberdeen to Dublin, Dublin to Orlando

Usually the route via Dublin can work out much more expensive and the flight connection times can be terrible, moreso the way back

Will try this way, going by aer lingus website the flight times are actually quite good for next year I know the last time we went that way we had to fly back to London instead as there wasn’t a connecting flight to Aberdeen from Dublin. Just trying to avoid the dreaded airport change in London but if needs must will book that way.

I was having a quick look for next year and when I looked at virgin their MCO flights were going out of Heathrow. No idea if this is a permanent change or not. The prices were reasonable as well. So was BA to Heathrow and the virgin to MCO.

We drove to Edinburgh in 2018 and then flew to Gatwick but it is a pain on the way home. Hoping to go next year but want to fly from Aberdeen for less hassle.

We did also look at private hires between the 2 airports in London which weren't actually too badly priced and it was pick up from arrivals and drop off at Gatwick. Thay might be an option as well.

We have done the private hire on a few occasions but they stressed me out each time as the driver’s were no where to be seen 🤦 We have found that jumping on the National express works great and is our go to now for getting between the 2 airports. The last few years we have gone via Dublin or Amsterdam and loved not having to change airports.

I did see that virgin are going from Heathrow so that could be an option if they do a connecting flight from Aberdeen or Inverness but usually their fly drives are a lot more than BA hopefully the prices are good when they come out 🤞🏻

I’ve seen some good prices ie under £1900 for 2 ad 2 kids for May next year going from Edinburgh to Newark then down to MCO. Seemed to be linking to klm direct and normal economy so including bags. There’s also a later flight at 11ish which vigin delta etc run.

It’s decent as you get immigration done in Newark as generally quieter and it’s 3 hours earlier so the kids are not falling apart!
