Given they would not even have paid the car hire company, it was really, really bad service.

Hopefully like the flights they have improved, but I won’t risk them again until I see positive reports.

Best service is undoubtedly Andy on here (Discount Florida Car Hire). I was very impressed with my aborted Christmas trip.
I agree that in these troubled times a booking with no cash upfront is not to be sneezed at. Good advice.

With regards to VA and to some extent Netflights I wont be touching them until the World is back to some semblance of normality.

We've booked with Andy about 6 or 7 times. Sadly April 2020 rolled over to November 2020 then that rolled over to April 2021. Facing reality now that April 2021 will be rolled over to Nov 2021 and Andy and I have already exchanged emails about the possibility aka probability.

Obviously we were destined to never pick up a car at TPA for the first time ever this April. Looking on the bright side though maybe the Visitor Toll Pass will be up and running again from MCO in November.

Unfortunately the car hire companies have missed a huge segment of British visitors for a year now and they're going to try to make up some of those losses.

Tends to just be the smaller vehicles that are cheaper through the offline system at the moment so your daughters booking is currently cheaper.

Ive decided in Sept not to have a car for the full three weeks as Im on site at both Disney and Universal. I’ll get Magical Express from the airport like I always do ( as Im greedy with drink in the lounge and on the plane ) and I’ll hire from the Disney car care place for 4 nights when I go to Busch area and then give back - using Ubers if I need to leave site. I’ll then get another car when I leave Cabana Bay for my last 3 days. Saves loads on car hire and parking costs. Im on my own so I don't mind eating on site as its just paying for one.
