How strong is the sun in Florida in December?

Hi
We have everything crossed to be in WDW for Christmas. I know from reading on here that temperatures can change quite dramatically in December with some days being really hot and others being cold.
We are all quite fair haired and burn easily. When we went to Florida last time in May 2016 we used boots soltan factor 50 all day every day.
Is the sun in December as strong as in May if we get a hot day? I would put on factor 50 if we went to a water park as more skin on show! But will I need factor 50 in December or will factor 15 or 30 be enough? Also with the sun being lower in December if we venture out after 3 some days would we need any at all?
Sorry for all the questions but I dont want to spend a fortune on sun cream and then not use much!

We have been a couple of times in December.

The first in dec 2014 and had factor 50 on the kids a few times a day and 20 on me and hubby

Dec 2019 wasnt as hot so factor 50 all day with a face top up mid day for kids
We had factor 20 all day

Last time I was there in December, it was 4 degrees in Florida and 9 degrees in the UK 😂

We did have a couple of warmish days though, but UV was not strong... 1 or 2 out of 10.

Florida can be down right chilly in December/January. Not unknown to be freezing overnight. Long trousers and jumper in the day but it can be warmish.

I had to buy factor 50 sunscreen on Christmas Day 2019. Christmas Eve was cold and rainy

I would rather take some than none at all, Suncreams are usually on sale in places like Boots after the summer season and you can buy the travel sizes.

A lot of people buy it over there and I know Dollar tree ones are reported to be good, but if you are used to one here and dont want to have to go shopping specifically for suncream I would take some especially if you burn easily.
