Testing costs will it price you out?
I know no one knows the exact pricing of tests and how many would be needed etc
But is there a level that will price you out? And make you move the holiday to another year I’m seeing it’s looking at possibly averaging out at 180£ a person This would price us out as there’s six of us. So that’s £1080 Am I the only one? |

I thought a recent report said around £200 for a family of 4?

I’m sure the price of the tests will be cut. I also don’t think all the tests will be needed for as long as others may think.
This is purely to get us off the ground - literally. The further this goes on, the less the tests will be needed. There are countries already looking at allowing test free travel for arrivals who are 2 weeks post 2nd vaccine. Then it’s the lat flow and PCR on arrival back to the UK - which I expect to change by July time (enough to see how it’s going) for those who are double vaccinated with 2/3 weeks clear.

The testing is a temporary measure. Anyone with holidays August onwards i very much doubt will need to take any tests

As they currently stand, yes they will price us out.
We go end of July but we need to make a decision by mid June so if things are going to change I would want to know by then. |

Although the price of tests is unwanted, it doesn't really concern me - we need a holiday badly. It's the risk of one of these tests being positive and having to quarantine when we have work and school to get back to after two weeks off that will stop us going (Aug 15th - 29th) if anything.
