I'm not going to the end of the month, but looked at your forecast and it's not too bad. BBC says light rain Monday and Tuesday but the percentages are very low, Accuweather says chance of a thunderstorm and some showers. I think you'll be okay.

Don’t take too much notice of the rain forecast. I was there last week and when I looked in advance it showed a spell of rain on many of the days. However, it was glorious blue skies and hotter than the surface of the sun! The only time we saw rain was a very light but of drizzle for a short while on Friday. Have a great time!

We went 2 weeks ago and whilst it was warm, we didn't see the lovely blue skies we were expecting. We still wore shorts and tshirts, even in the rain. I did take a brolly and used this in quieter areas; not in Times Square!

It rained/drizzled a few times which affected our plans (we had planned a picnic in Central Park and a day at Coney Island) but we just adjusted the plan and rolled with it. A picnic became brunch in the Plaza food hall and a walk around the park.

We went beginning of August and the forecast before we left was rain everyday. Day 2 we had a thunderstorm that lasted about 90 minutes and day 6 we had a real doozy of a thunderstorm that closed JFK for 2 hours. Other than that, nothing. It was sunny and hot as hell the whole rest of the time.

The forecasts for NYC seem even worse than for the UK!
