and they cant reverse - i made someone reverse in a straight line for about 3 car lengths - he was all over the place and it took him ages . it would have been quicker for me to have reversed 3 times the distance up the hill. He was a local

This made me smile lots of grockles here on the IOW too . Nothing left in the supermarkets either .

No markings on lots of country lanes so they drive in the middle of the road.

Brixham is a lovely but busy place too, we're in East Devon. Just got to allow extra time to get anywhere as they drive at 40mph regardless of the speed limit too...

As soon as I saw grockle I knew you were in Devon, I'm a Bideford lass

I sympathise with you. I’m in Weymouth and it’s grockles everywhere. Causing chaos, madness, traffic jams, poor driving and foul language. Even the little darlings are making the news here, with a 11 year old assaulting a police community officer and putting him in hospital!
I’m counting down the 6 weeks until they all go home! And believe me, I don’t care how much they bring into the town each year, Weymouth still remains as run down as ever.

Yep, good for the local businesses but if they could just be a bit more considerate with the driving, it would help us locals. 🙂

Surely he should have done the complete circuit instead of pushing into my lane and refusing to give way to ME who was in the correct lane. Urgh! Makes my blood boil when people can't obey the rules of the road.
Rant over, least I've only got a few weeks before we get the Floridian drivers... 🤨
You are lucky if you only get bad drivers during the school holidays we have this problem all year round especially at some junctions where they cannot follow either basic highway rules or the arrows painted on the road.

Ha knew before opening thread you would also be from Devon. Getting to work with all the grockles is hard but it’s lovely to see the town and beaches alive with people. And if it weren’t for grockles my daughter wouldn’t have her first job on the pier serving ice cream

I agree that we need the emmets (I’m in Cornwall ), but it is annoying when a normally 10 min journey takes 30+ mins instead.
