Well, just arrived and as promised here is an update on our experience. See previous posts for the full story, but I was totally expecting 4 grey magic bands on check in !
I was left disappointed 😎😎
All 4 bands were here and ready for collection, including the one we paid for using the online code and deliver to resort.
After all the carry on with this I’m rather shocked !

We had all our ours when we checked in as well but I ordered very early before all the carry on started.

Just arrived at the Beach Club. None of our bands, ordered and paid for, were here.

We've had to go with unpersonalised coloured bands. I wasn't at check-in, as I was dropping off the hire car I'd picked up a little over an hour before in Tampa, at The Dolphin.

By all accounts, the check-in assistant apologised, said "it's all been a big mess" and credited us $20 per person to our account, which obviously more than offsets the $10+tax we had paid.

However, I'm not very happy about this. Whilst I fully appreciate that it's not the fault of anyone here at the Beach Club, we did all that was asked of us by Disney and now have unpersonalised generic bands.

$20 per person doesn't allow us to get replacement custom bands, particularly given that we paid $11-12 per person in advance.

I've a good mind to complain properly tomorrow, and I'm really not someone who ever complains, because the whole thing has been farcical and the kids were looking forward to their custom bands. I appreciate it's a bit "first world problem" given the holiday we are about to enjoy, but I'm felling quite annoyed by it.

funnily when we stayed at the Beach Club none of our regular bands were there...

They needed to be crediting you enough to cover the refund of the bands you've paid for and having to now purchase those bands at $24.99 plus tax. The whole system is beyond a joke. Afrer trying on many occasions to order i gave up and ordered plain bands. I've been unable to view the upgraded bands for the last few weeks and did online chat a few days ago. They fixed the problem but the bands I wanted still weren't all there and by the next day the page seems to be broken for me to view again.

You can ask them to reorder them for you if you're staying onsite for at least 5 nights. Back in 2016 the wonderful CM who checked us in at AoA couldn't find our bands after 20 minutes of looking for them. He asked us which colours we had and gave us the right colours, albeit unpersonalised. On top of that he ordered new purple bands with our names on them, which were waiting for us in our room a few days later. They can order new ones from the front desk, at least they can with the plan ones.

Oh, and be sure to report the missing bands as lost in your MDE account. The CM did that automatically for us.
